After relocating from Florida due to limited job opportunities, I moved back to Bridgeport, CT, where I met a paving business owner who saw potential in me. Without me even asking, he told me, “You’re going to be a paver.” Under his guidance, I learned the ins and outs of the trade, mastering every aspect of the field while developing a deep passion for the work. As the company grew, so did my knowledge—not only in paving but also in the business side of the industry.
A few years later, when the owner retired, I found myself at a crossroads. However, he left me with a dump truck and a heavy roller, telling me, “It’s your turn now.” In 2005, I officially launched 1st Class Paving & Concrete, marking the beginning of my journey as a business owner.
